Booting neural core...
Business email, calendars and contacts on your own domain. Flux gives every person a mailbox, adds shared addresses, distribution lists and bookable rooms, and publishes a company directory so colleagues can find each other. Everything is set up from the Portal.
Pay for the mailboxes you reserve each month, plus one shared storage pool per GB. Rooms are free.
yourdomain.com.The Portal lists the exact values for your domain. A domain registered with Cybernethicc is published for you with no setup. If your DNS is on Cloudflare, Amazon Route 53 or Google Cloud DNS, connect the provider once and use Publish: Flux writes the records for you, including the autoconfig and autodiscover records. Otherwise add the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records at your DNS host.
| Type | Name | Value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| MX | yourdomain.com | mail.cybernethicc.com | Inbound mail |
| TXT | yourdomain.com | v=spf1 ... | SPF, who may send for the domain |
| TXT | <selector>._domainkey.yourdomain.com | v=DKIM1; ... | DKIM signature key |
| TXT | _dmarc.yourdomain.com | v=DMARC1; ... | DMARC policy |
| CNAME | autoconfig.yourdomain.com | added when Flux publishes | Automatic setup for Thunderbird and others |
| CNAME | autodiscover.yourdomain.com | added when Flux publishes | Automatic setup for Outlook |
Create a mailbox for each person from the Portal. You can reset a password, change the quota and set aliases at any time. The username for apps is the full address, for example [email protected].
With the autoconfig and autodiscover records in place, Thunderbird and Outlook fill in the servers by themselves. For iPhone, iPad and Apple Mail, install the Apple setup profile Flux offers for the mailbox. If the mailbox has two-factor sign-in on, use an app password instead of the normal password. If an app asks for the details, use these:
Incoming (IMAP)
Server: mail.cybernethicc.com
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS
Outgoing (SMTP)
Server: mail.cybernethicc.com
Port: 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS)
Auth: normal password
Username: your full email addressRead and send mail in the browser at flux.cybernethicc.com, or open it from the Portal.
Aliases are extra addresses that land in an existing mailbox, such as sales@ delivering to Jane. Distribution lists forward one address to many members, such as team@, up to 100 members, including addresses outside your domain. Deleting a list stops mail to its address immediately. Masked addresses are throwaway addresses that deliver to your mailbox, handy for sign-ups.
Every mailbox comes with a drive in webmail. Upload files and folders, and share a file with a link; add a password to the link when it should not travel further. Files count toward the same storage pool as mail.
You reserve a number of mailboxes (seats) and one storage pool for the whole organisation, billed per GB. Change both from Change seats & storage in the Portal. Set a quota per mailbox when someone should not use more than their share; the Portal shows current usage.
DNS changes can take a while to spread. Check the records with dig or an online DNS checker, then verify again.
Confirm the MX record points to mail.cybernethicc.com and that no other MX record with a lower priority exists.
Make sure SPF, DKIM and DMARC are all published. If you also send through other services, add them to your SPF record.
Use the full address as the username and the ports above. Some networks block outgoing mail ports; try 587 if 465 fails.
